Ever have a day that just kicked your head sideways? That is how today was for me. It wasn’t bad, but it really made me expend lots of energy on things that I don’t like doing. It is all part of the managing people job, but still, I have never been a big fan of what I consider the minor things, or maintenance items.

I love my job, always have. Every single one I have had, I have not had too many bad times, but you know, after a while, the same things over and over get tiring. Is it not the same way when it comes to religion or spiritual well being? We hit that plateau in everything, and the routines become boring to us. I think that is just human nature. So, the need then becomes to find a spark to waken that back up.

For me, I have been reading stories of conversions. I am a converted Catholic. Yes, as shocking as it is to some, I chose to be Catholic. In some ways, it has always been home, I just didn’t know it. That is a story for another time, but reading about other’s questions and concerns before becoming a Catholic has really helped me to find new meanings to all the things that the Church has to offer. It has helped me top find a renewed spirit in what I believe in. I only hope that finding a renewed spirit for work comes next.

Lord, thank you for giving me the opportunity to hear your story through others, and letting those stories open my eyes to new ways to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.
