Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.

“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.
This is the Law and the Prophets.

“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.” Mt 7:6, 12-14

Fantastic teachings that came from Jesus today. The best part, do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the most powerful sentence in this entire passage. Why can we not do this today? Why are we all running and not thinking about the consequences that we have on everyone else?

South Carolina is a great example. We many never know why people really do what the do in this world, but at the end of the day, as humans, we should not be pushing an agenda of hatred. That goes for any organization, group of people, family, whatever. I do not care if you are black, white, yellow, orange, green, blue, or purple today…….. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR RACISM IN THE WORLD ANYMORE! This is the stance of a middle aged suburban white male….me… and it should be the stance of everyone in the world. Again, there is no room for this anymore. Discrimination is total bull shit, and it needs to be eradicated. Period. I am sick to my stomach that in the modern era, to live in the most progressive country on God’s Earth that this is still a problem and that innocent people have to die over it. I can not stand the fact that these lives are extinguished over something primitive and as preventable as a simple cold.

I am not saying that you have to believe everything I do. All it takes is a little respect and understanding. I don’t have to be a black person to understand and respect black history and culture I don’t have to be Asian to understand the Asian culture and history, and respect it. I will never fully understand what it is like to be another race, but that does not mean that I can not love them. On the same token, no one will ever fully understand what it is like to be me, but I can write about it and give you a pretty good picture I am white, but that should not mean that I have to try to be something I am not, but it does not give me a free ride to disrespect anyone for any reason. I have my own heritage and values that I want people to respect and to understand, without the fear of discrimination as well. EVERYONE DEMANDS AND DESERVES THIS!!!! EVERYONE!!! I am extremely upset over the actions that one individual did… which is horrific and demonic in its own right, but the fact that it was racially motivated pisses me off to a degree that is beyond measure. I may have defended our right to be free, but I did not defend the right to spew hatred to our fellow countrymen. This to me is cancer that is killing our nation.

It’s so correctable.

Everyone needs to do a self evaluation right now… everyone. Put aside whatever ingrained biases that you have and be real with yourself. This entire nation needs to get a grip on reality. We can not lead the free world still in the shackles of our own discrimination actions.
