Thus says the LORD:
Lo, I am about to create new heavens
and a new earth;
The things of the past shall not be remembered
or come to mind.
Instead, there shall always be rejoicing and happiness
in what I create;
For I create Jerusalem to be a joy
and its people to be a delight;
I will rejoice in Jerusalem
and exult in my people.
No longer shall the sound of weeping be heard there,
or the sound of crying;
No longer shall there be in it
an infant who lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not round out his full lifetime;
He dies a mere youth who reaches but a hundred years,
and he who fails of a hundred shall be thought accursed.
They shall live in the houses they build,
and eat the fruit of the vineyards they plant. Is 65:17-21
We do not know what the future holds. That is something that is always said. We can not predict the things that are going to happen from one moment to the next. We are all here on Earth, trying to ensure that we learn the lessons we are supposed to learn, and we try so hard to plan for the future, even though we do not know what will happen. Many people live in anxiety because of that unknown factor of life. I know, because I am one of those people sometimes.
I am going to propose this to you right now. What if, by just believing in our faith, we actually do know what the future holds? What if I told you that we can predict what will occur later on in life? How amazing would that be? Well, it is true, we do know what will happen, we will be brought into the fullness of Heaven, to be able to sit with Jesus and be at peace.
Oh, how easy it is to forget this when we are dealing with the struggles we have on a daily basis. When we are walking through trials, it is very easy to lose sight of the reward that is waiting for us. It is so much easier to fall back into a state of depression, not to feel like we have a goal in mind, or to just feel alone on our mission in life. No matter what, we are all on the journey, and we have to keep in mind what the actual end goal is, to have eternal life with the Father. No matter the struggle in this life you will ever go through, at the end of the day, that is the end goal. So, we keep that in mind, and we will always know what the future holds.
