Jesus said to his disciples:
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field,
which a person finds and hides again,
and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant
searching for fine pearls.
When he finds a pearl of great price,
he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.” Matthew 13:44-46

Yesterday, I can say was a very long and low energy day for me. I could not put my finger on just one thing that was bringing me down. There were so many reasons as to why I would have a very sideways kind of day, from things happening at work, to the number of issues that I had read about in the world, to whatever you want to name, it was piling up on my mind yesterday. Like I mentioned to my wife, it felt as if someone was taking their boot and pressing it into the back of my neck. I felt as if I had turned to Atlas when I woke up and the whole world was resting on my shoulders. My shoulders are broad, but not that broad.

Today, it is totally different. Today’s message has totally changed that outlook that I had yesterday. Yesterday, I had the total perspective of everything that was happening to me in my life. I again, had forgot the fundamental message that even I have written about so often, it is not about me, or the weight that I am carrying. It is really about what I can do to be in service to the kingdom. I had hidden Jesus away from me yesterday. I am so glad that I was able to find Him today. It is so easy to get downtrodden in the moment, and have the gloomy feelings creep in. Obviously, I am still working on realizing this when it is happening. I am most blessed to have the opportunity to change the direction of my thoughts today. I can feel the Spirit moving me today, and I am going to try to make the most of what is going on in my life.  I pray that everyone can feel the same presence today, and let the wonders of the Holy Spirit move you as well.
