I am not sure how to start this one off. I will be honest, sometimes the thought of happy is not one that resonates with me at all. I am not sure how to explain that. When someone says “Find your happy place.”, what exactly are they talking about? Continue reading “Happy?”
Jesus and his disciples left from there and began a journey through Galilee,
but he did not wish anyone to know about it.
He was teaching his disciples and telling them,
“The Son of Man is to be handed over to men
and they will kill him,
and three days after his death the Son of Man will rise.”
But they did not understand the saying,
and they were afraid to question him.
They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house,
he began to ask them,
“What were you arguing about on the way?”
But they remained silent.
They had been discussing among themselves on the way
who was the greatest.
Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them,
“If anyone wishes to be first,
he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”
Taking a child, he placed it in the their midst,
and putting his arms around it, he said to them,
“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me;
and whoever receives me,
receives not me but the One who sent me.” Mark 9:30-37
It has been raining here for weeks. That may be an exaggeration, but it has felt like it has been raining here all week long. It started on Monday and really did not let up until today. This afternoon to be exact. That is when I caught a slight glimpse of a rainbow outside the window. It was just a little taste, but it was there. Continue reading “Sitting Under The Rainbow……..”
Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another,
preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Accompanying him were the Twelve
and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities,
Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza,
Susanna, and many others
who provided for them out of their resources. Luke 8:1-3
Come to me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord. Mt 11:28
